Papers all over the country printed the story.
The bull was kept in the small barn where calves were also kept and that had a garage & workbench with the electric fence mechanism above it (next to where the milk truck was parked, it was formerly a house). I think Grandpa was cut inside when the bull escaped but I'm not sure. He may have had a touch of dementia at this point in his life. I don't remember the year, but it was probably about that time when he went into the pantry for a nip of whiskey but got the Savoy bleach bottle instead. Yeah, the pantry was stocked with shotguns, rifles, ammo, and spirits but us kids never messed with that stuff.
I'm not even sure why Sonny even kept a bull because he used artificial insemination then.
These are in his Ancestry Gallery, but I don't know if Wendy has put them in the family blog.
