My father, William Henry Warnock, son of Harriette Amelia Healey (Warnock) Martin and Sherwood Thornton Warnock, is turning 80 years old on December 30, 2019. He has been our family genealogist for decades, and in the course of that time has written, and captured many stories. When I was younger my eyes would glaze over at his recounting of yet another ancestor farmer, or inventory of household goods detailing 1 shirt, 1 pair of pants, 1 bed, 1 horse, etc. (yawn). But as time went on either he got really good at storytelling or I got more interested....or some combination of the two.
As I contemplated how best to commemorate my father’s milestone birthday, I thought of gathering up some of the things he has written about our family, as well as things other family members have written. Compiling them here along with pictures and other information from our genealogy as a way for family members and future generations to access and add to the stories.
